<p>In this talk, Chaitali Narla, Managing Vice President in Card Technology at Capital One, shares the skills she’s learned to help female technologists advance in their careers by asking for what they want at work. Chaitali grew up in a “guess culture” in India where asking for something is often avoided unless a "yes" is likely, as it's considered rude to force a "no." This contrasts sharply with corporate "ask culture," where not asking can mean missing out on opportunities. Chaitali will share learnable skills to ask for needs across several dimensions: professional development, leadership opportunities, strategic career moves, technical upskilling, project and resource management, and work-life balance.
